Who We Are
Southern Pro Wrestling New Zealand run regular live Professional Wrestling shows in the Otago & Southland region of New Zealand. We also run a training school with classes twice a week to teach the art of Professional Wrestling.
We are committed to establishing a healthy professional wrestling scene in the Southland of New Zealand by discovering and training talented people wanting to be involved in the Sports Entertainment genre.
Our SPW On Demand online channel allows us to expose 'Wrestling on the Edge of the World' across the globe, giving our performers a platform to showcase what they can do to the world.
We own a 18 by 18 foot professional wrestling ring and can provide live professional wrestling to festivals & other live entertainment expos with fully trained pro wrestlers from across the country and overseas.
Troy Crosbie & Marc Perry are the founders of SPWNZ and both have extensive background and experience in the Pro Wrestling Industry.
Troy was trained by WWE Legend Lance Storm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and since then has wrestled and performed across New Zealand.
Marc Perry was trained by UK World of Sport Legend Steve Logan and WWE Superstar Drake Maverick. He has wrestled all over the UK, Europe, Australia and NZ and worked with some of the biggest names in Wrestling. He has taken part in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Tryouts and performed for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
SPW recently put on the biggest live independent wrestling show seen in New Zealand for over 27 years, it was held at ILT Stadium in Invercargill in front of 1,200+ fans and was aired on TVNZ DUKE and TVNZ On Demand.
SPWNZ was founded in 2015. Starting with just two men and a vision, SPW now has over 30 dedicated
members on the team. Promoting regular, sell out, Live Events in Invercargill & Queenstown predominantly.
Our training school opened in October 2015. We have 2 weekly classes with dedicated trainees and trainers creating a fun atmosphere to learn the art of Professional Wrestling.
We proudly partner ourselves with Great South, the tourism board that helps promote the Southland region to Domestic and International visitors.
We also work closely with the Invercargill Licensing Trust, that share the same vision to make Invercargill the home of Pro Wrestling in New Zealand.
