The SPW New Zealand Tag Team Championships represents the current tag team champions in the Southland & Otago regions of New Zealand in Professional Wrestling under the Southern Pro Wrestling NZ board.
The champions are responsible for representing Southern Pro Wrestling NZ inside and outside the ring in a professional manner.

To be eligible to compete for the Championship(s) you must meet the following criteria:
*Be a trained Professional Wrestler that is acknowledged by the SPWNZ board. *Must be a permanent resident or citizen of New Zealand *Must be over 18 years old. *No weight class, although named Heavyweight, this is an open championship. *Challengers must be approved by the SPWNZ board |

Any match taking place for the SPW New Zealand Championship(s) must be approved by the board. The Champion(s) cannot accept defenses on his/their own accord. The Championships are only to be defended within New Zealand.
*Minimum time limit for a Championship match is 30 minutes. *Only via pinfall or submission can the championship(s) change hands. *Disqualification or count out are not eligible for a title change. *Special stipulations can be eligible for a title change if the board approves unanimously. *The board is capable of stripping a champion or vacating a championship(s) under crucial conditions. |
