Will Power and Hammer became the most unlikely Tag Team in SPW history and ended the year as SPW New Zealand Tag Team Champions!
Honourable mention goes to the Deadly Sins (JK Moody & Kane Khan), who came in close second place but had left us towards the end of the year to chase their dreams and further their careers in the UK.

SPW BREAKOUT STAR OF THE YEAR
'ALBINO RHINO' WINSTON WHYTE
The Albino Rhino had a tough year in 2019, becoming SPW's General Manager Professor Palmer's personal assistant, but he finished the year on a high by defeating the 'Education Sensation' at Halloween Haunting to set himself free and truly become one to look out for in 2020. He also had a standout match with SPW New Zealand Champion 'Shooter' Shane Sinclair at SPW Fight Nights proving he is more than capable to hang with the best!
Cool Guy Sky also had a lot of support after finally leaving Detention and breaking out on his own, debuting his new persona against 'Hooligan' Marcus Kool at SPW Fight Nights which had everyone talking!

Just coming up short, but also hugely popular, was the FIRST EVER SPW & MCW Champion Slex who made history at the Southern Rumble. The team of Travis Banks & TK Cooper also proved pretty popular...obviously!
