The night before Jimmy Havoc had a Southland Street Fight with Will Power at Fight Nights, he took an exclusive seminar for SPW at the 'Proving Ground'.
25 participants with various levels of experience went through a 3 hour training session with Jimmy, as he put them through their paces and shared his knowledge that has led him to becoming one of the most talked about Independent Wrestlers in the world.
Jimmy is the former Head Trainer for London based PROGRESS Wrestling where he also trained fellow Kiwi's TK Cooper and Dahlia Black.
He is renowned to be one of the best trainers in the UK and focuses on character building, psychology and the art of storytelling.
Since SPW formed, we have been dedicated to bringing in talent with all kinds of different styles and experience to help our homegrown talent be the best that they can be. New Zealand happens to be quite far away from the rest of the world, so bringing in experience to work with our crew is vital to improve our homegrown talent, and long term growth.
It comes at a cost, but a cost that we are willing to invest to better our performers and product, and give our audience the best we possibly can.
So far the school has produced current New Zealand and SPW Wrestlers: JK Moody, Kane Khan, Detention, Down To Fight & Will Power who are regular features on SPW shows as well as working for other promotions around the country and overseas. For more info on the school click here.
Other Guest Trainers have included: Will Ospreay, Travis Banks, Toa Henare, PROGRESS Wrestling Co-Creators and current WWE NXT UK Producers Jim Smallman & Glen Joseph, Bea Priestley, TK Cooper, Dahlia Black, plus many more.
Fight Nights has always been a proving ground for up and coming talent in the school to show what they can do, before performing on a Flagship event, but it has clearly turned into something so much more than that. It's raw, it's intimate and its special. For more info click here.

SPW would like to thank Jimmy Havoc for passing on what we are sure was a very small amount of his knowledge and hope we get him back again soon!
